Projects Abroad offers internships in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy to anyone who has some experience or qualifications in these areas.
Interns work with both adults and children with a wide variety of needs. Interning in Brazil offers you a fantastic opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of how local procedures and patient support are comparable to your past experiences in these areas.
Specific treatments used at our Physiotherapy placement include respiratory physiotherapy, postural re-education, acupuncture, and pre-natal services. Psychomotricity activities, reading techniques, and vocabulary stimulations are some of the treatments offered to patients for Speech Therapy.
Through showing initiative and building a good rapport with your colleagues, you can get very involved with the doctors and patients with whom you are working.
It is recommended that interns interested in these placements can speak a basic level of Portuguese, or are confident in their Spanish.This will enable greater interaction and communication with both the staff and the patients.
