This project is a mix of both marine conservation and care. It is ideal for anyone with a keen interest in the environment who wants to make a positive impact on a local community, their environment, and the young children who will continue this legacy for years to come.

The first week of your project will focus on a number of conservation initiatives seeking to protect the coral reefs, tropical forests and coastal areas around Ao Nang. You will assess the health of the coral reefs through snorkel surveys and help with sea-turtle rehabilitation, mangrove reforestation and beach-clean-ups under the guidance of our conservationists.

In your second week you will undertake more land-based work at a local kindergarten or care centre. This will include the creation of fun educational games to improve English literacy, as well as promoting a sense of stewardship of the environment among the children. You will also work to improve a space within the centre by painting a mural or building a playground.

Your schedule will allow lots of time for adventure, culture and tourism, including a kayak trip, a visit to a local market, lots of fiery Thai food, and a Thai massage.
