What makes us different?
Gold Standard of Support
Safety is everything to us and has been for over 30 years. Everyone we work with is thoroughly vetted and trained. Our teams at home and abroad provide a world-class support network to help you thrive.
We take care of everything, so you don’t have to. Shopping around for insurance, organising airport pickups, and finding safe, clean accommodation all takes time and extra money. We take care of it all for you, and it’s included in the price as standard.
Make a Real Impact
This isn’t just a holiday and we don’t want to waste your time. That’s why we invest in planning, measurement tools, and training resources. This means any project you choose is meaningful and creates real, positive change where it’s needed the most.
I would highly recommend Projects Abroad to anyone as they’re well organised and take the stress off of you especially when you have to travel far from home. It’s comforting knowing they’re always only a phone call away if anything goes amiss.
Having visited Cambodia on a holiday, I had always wanted to visit it again but not as a tourist. I wanted to live there as a local and do something meaningful.
Volunteer Teaching in Cambodia
Don’t believe words can truly describe the unforgettable experience I had. From the people, cultures and trips, the memories I gained will forever remain with me. Not once did I feel unwelcome and Projects Abroad worked very hard to make sure everyone felt safe and happy.
The students seemed to appreciate the lessons more than the children in Australia, as it’s not something they do often.
The most important part of my time in Thailand for me though was the connections and friendships I made with the volunteers that came from all around the world and the locals in Thailand.
Diving & Coral Reef Protection in Thailand
I loved actively helping out and removing the fences that were harming animals and blocking their migratory paths. It felt like I was really making a difference!
Volunteering with Wildlife in Botswana for Teenagers
Overall, my trip was an unforgettable experience, and inspired me and, I think, everybody in our team to volunteer again.
